Nigerian Army DSSC 29 Training Date, Venue and Requirements 2026 for Shortlisted Candidates

The Nigerian Army has announced the training date and reporting instructions for candidates shortlisted for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 29/2026.

All successful candidates from the DSSC 29/2026 Selection Board are expected to report for Officer Cadet Training at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry in Jaji, Kaduna State. Candidates who fail to report on the scheduled date risk losing their slot to candidates on the reserve list.

Nigerian Army DSSC Training Date 2026

Shortlisted candidates are required to report for training on Friday, 27 March 2026. All candidates must arrive on the reporting date with the required documents and personal items listed by the Nigerian Army.

Nigerian Army DSSC 29/2026 Training Venue

The training will take place at:

Officer Cadet Training Wing
Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI)
Jaji, Kaduna State

The Nigerian Army School of Infantry in Jaji is the official training centre for officer cadets selected under the DSSC programme.

Requirements for Nigerian Army DSSC 29/2026 Training

Shortlisted candidates must report to the training camp with the following items:

1. Writing materials

2. Original credentials and certificates

3. Online application printout showing passport photographs

4. Three pairs of plain white short sleeve round neck vests (unmarked)

5. Three pairs of royal blue shorts without stripes

6. Two pairs of pure white canvas or trainers (rubber type not allowed)

7. Two pairs of maroon round neck vests (unmarked)

8. Two navy blue tracksuits without stripes

9. Two white long sleeve shirts and one blue long sleeve shirt

10. One black tie and one black belt

11. Four pairs of white socks and two pairs of black socks

12. Two pairs of black and white trousers

13. One dark coloured lounge suit

14. Two sets of national dress or suit with casual wear

15. One rubber strapped wristwatch

16. One pair of black cover shoes

17. One swimming trunk

18. Two white bed sheets with pillowcases

19. One blanket in grey or army green colour

20. Football boots

21. Pressing iron

Additional Requirements for Female Candidates

Female candidates must also come with the following items:

• One pair of black low heel cover shoes

• Four dark coloured lounge skirts

• Four pairs of black or blue tight shorts

• Two trouser suits

Instructions for Serving Military Personnel

Candidates who are already serving in the military must report with:

• Official release letter from their commanders or commanding officers

• Approved passes permitting them to attend the training

Important Notice for Shortlisted Candidates

All shortlisted candidates must report to the training centre on 27 March 2026. Any candidate who fails to report on that date will automatically lose the opportunity.

Reserve candidates are not expected to report to the training school unless they are contacted by the Nigerian Army. The Nigerian Army also stated that no reserve candidate will be considered after 20 April 2026.

Candidates are advised to prepare all required documents and items before the reporting date to avoid any issues during registration at the training camp.
