Nigerian Army Shortlist: The Nigerian Army has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board. Candidates who applied for the DSSC recruitment exercise are advised to check their names and prepare for the selection exercise.

According to the public announcement by the Nigerian Army, shortlisted candidates are to report for the DSSC Selection Board exercise scheduled to hold between 23 February and 8 March 2026.

Follow the steps below to confirm your name:

1. Visit the Nigerian Army recruitment portal https://recruitment.army.mil.ng

2. Navigate to the DSSC section.

3. Click on DSSC Course 29/2026 Shortlisted Candidates.

4. Download or search the list for your name.

If your name appears, you are expected to report for the selection exercise as scheduled.

Nigerian Army DSSC 2026 Screening Date and Venue

All shortlisted candidates are to report as follows:

• Venue: Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State

• Reporting Time: 9:00 AM

• Reporting Date: 22 February 2026

Failure to report on time may lead to disqualification.

Items Required for Nigerian Army DSSC Selection Exercise 2026

Shortlisted candidates must report to the selection board venue with the following items:

General Items

• Writing materials

• Bucket and toiletries

• Set of cutleries (plate and drinking cups)

• Beddings including blankets, bedspread, mosquito net and pillow cases

Clothing Requirements

• 3 plain white short-sleeve vests

• 3 pairs of blue shorts

• A pair of canvas shoes or trainers

• 3 pairs of white socks

Photograph Requirements

• 4 copies of recent coloured passport photographs

• 4 copies of recent full-size coloured photographs (standing position, in suit)

Each full-size photograph must have the following written at the back:

• Surname

• First Name

• Other Name

• Date of Birth

• Service Number (for serving personnel only)

• Current Unit (for serving personnel only)

Academic Verification

• Scratch cards for online verification of WAEC and/or NECO results

• Academic and professional certificates
