CDCFIB Opens New Portal for Old Applicants to Verify and Complete Application

If you previously applied for any of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, or Immigration Services recruitment exercises before the recent system upgrade, there’s an urgent update you must act on immediately.

On August 1st, 2025, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) released a press statement through the Office of the Secretary. The statement confirms that the board has launched a dedicated portal to help earlier applicants verify and resubmit their records.

CDCFIB New Portal: What You Need to Know

1. Verify Your Previous Application:
All records for applicants who submitted their details before the recent system upgrade are now accessible. If this applies to you, head over to the newly launched portal: https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng

2. Update & Resubmit:
You are required to verify your information and complete the submission process through this portal. This step is essential to ensure your application is still valid and captured under the new system.

3. Generate Your Application Slip:
After successfully updating your details, you’ll be able to download a fresh application slip. Note that your original Application ID will still be linked to your profile—so don’t worry if you had already received one before.

4. Who Should Use This Portal:
This new portal is strictly for those who submitted their applications before the system upgrade. If you’ve already re-applied after the upgrade, your most recent application is the one that will be considered. In such cases, the older records will no longer appear on this update portal.

This update was officially signed by Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the Secretary to the Board.
