NECO CBE Centre Registration: The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the commencement of registration for qualified Computer-Based Examination (CBE) centre operators. According to the council, the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, starting with the November/December 2025 exams will be computer-based.

NECO CBE Application Period FOR Centres

General Requirements for NECO CBE Centres
- Minimum of 150 functional computer systems/laptops with 10% (i.e. 15) backups.

- Minimum 15-inch Flat Screen Monitor (or 17-inch for laptops).
- Systems must be connected to a robust computer server with the capacity to carry at least 150 systems simultaneously.
- All systems must have up-to-date antivirus installed.
- Systems should be networked using Cable Local Area Network (LAN) (wireless not allowed).
- Minimum of two switches with one as backup.
NECO CBE Hall Requirements
- Minimum capacity of 250 candidates.
- Hall size: at least 26 metres long and 18 metres wide.
- Adequate air conditioning, lighting, and ventilation.
- IP CCTV cameras for surveillance.
- Standby generator of 44KVA with at least three hours continuous supply.
- Stable internet connection with at least 10mbps.
- Centre must be fenced and secure.
- Centres in shared premises like cinemas or markets are not allowed.
Facilities and Personnel
- Two technical staff and two support staff.
- Adequate furniture and proper spacing.
- Holding area for candidates.
- Internal toilets inside the hall.
