Standard Chartered Bank has opened applications for its 2026 Internship Programme in Nigeria, offering students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading international banks.

The internship is open to penultimate-year students and will run as a 10-week paid summer programme based in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Available Internship Tracks

Standard Chartered is recruiting interns into the following programmes:

1. Treasury Internship Programme Nigeria 2026

Interns will support the Treasury team in managing liquidity, funding, and balance sheet operations while learning how global financial markets operate.

2. Client Coverage Internship Programme Nigeria 2026

This track focuses on Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), where interns support relationship managers, credit analysis, and client engagement across corporates and financial institutions.

Internship Duration and Location

• Duration: 10-week summer internship

• Start Date: June 2026

• Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

• Work Mode: Office-based

Many interns are considered for graduate roles starting July 2027 after successful completion.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a penultimate-year student in any discipline

• Have strong academic performance

• Possess good communication and analytical skills

• Be available to intern June – August 2026

• Have legal right to work in Nigeria

• Be interested in banking, finance, or corporate services
