How to Apply for RECEF Nationwide Data Collector Recruitment Across Nigeria

The Renaissance Care and Empowerment Foundation (RECEF) has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for Data Collectors to support its ongoing development programmes across Nigeria. The opportunity is open to qualified candidates in all 36 states and is strictly field based.

Successful applicants will work directly within communities where RECEF projects are implemented, supporting accurate data gathering for effective programme delivery.

About the Renaissance Care and Empowerment Foundation (RECEF)

RECEF is a non governmental, non profit, and non partisan organisation focused on sustainable societal development in Nigeria. The foundation implements programmes across key sectors, including:

  • Health

  • Education

  • Vocational training

  • Economic empowerment

  • Conflict prevention

RECEF places strong emphasis on children, women, youths, and other vulnerable groups. Reliable and accurate data collection remains central to the foundation’s planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.

Role: Data Collector

Data Collectors will serve as primary field level operatives responsible for gathering accurate and reliable information from assigned communities and project sites. The role connects grassroots realities with RECEF’s analytical and programme teams.

Selected Data Collectors will be expected to:

  1. Conduct systematic data collection through surveys, interviews, and field observations

  2. Use digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox and ODK for real time data submission

  3. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of collected data

  4. Verify data quality before submission to analytical teams

  5. Engage professionally with community members and local stakeholders

  6. Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and data integrity at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

  1. Minimum of OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor’s degree

  2. Preferred disciplines include Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or related fields

Experience and Skills

  1. Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, data analytics, or community based projects is an added advantage

  2. Prior experience in NGO or development sector projects is desirable

  3. Proficiency in digital data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox or ODK

  4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools

  5. Strong attention to detail and observational skills

  6. Ability to work independently in diverse field environments

Location and Deployment

  • Nationwide recruitment covering all 36 states

  • Applicants must clearly indicate their state of residence

  • Deployment will be community and ward based
