NDDC Skills Development and Empowerment Programme 2026: The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has announced the commencement of a skills development and empowerment programme focused on Compressed Natural Gas CNG vehicle conversion for youths across the Niger Delta region.
The training programme is part of NDDC’s mandate to build human capacity, promote employable skills, and support sustainable economic development within the region. It will be implemented across the nine Niger Delta states and targets young people with technical interest and background in automotive and mechanical fields.

About the NDDC CNG Vehicle Conversion Training
The CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Programme is designed to equip Niger Delta youths with practical and verifiable skills in autogas conversion technology.

General Selection Criteria
To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must be an indigene of one of the nine Niger Delta states

Must possess a minimum qualification of SSCE or WAEC with science related subjects

OND in science related disciplines or Trade Test Certificate from a recognised institution is acceptable

Holders of other recognised technical qualifications in automotive, mechanical, or allied trades may apply
-
Fresh graduates in engineering related courses within the Niger Delta are eligible

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age
