Federal Ministry of Works Recruitment 2026: Nationwide Engineering & Technical Training Programme
The Federal Ministry of Works (FMW) is a key government institution responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of federal roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure across Nigeria.
The Federal Ministry of Works (FMW) has announced an extension of its call for applications for the engagement of unemployed graduate engineers and skilled artisans under its Capacity Building and On-Site Training Programme.
The initiative, tagged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme, forms part of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and is designed to strengthen technical capacity, reduce unemployment, and support the delivery of federal infrastructure projects across all 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria.
Successful applicants will benefit from structured training, mentorship, temporary engagement, and hands-on experience on active federal construction sites.

Role Overview
The Ministry invites applications from unemployed graduate engineers for engagement under its Capacity Building and On-Site Training Programme. Participants will be attached to contractors handling Federal Ministry of Works projects within or near their local government areas.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35 years

Possess a BSc, BEng, BA, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Currently unemployed and not engaged in full-time employment
-
Have NYSC completion, exemption, or exclusion certificate

Be willing to work within project locations nationwide

Demonstrate basic computer literacy

Show commitment to structured field training
