Canada Recruitment 2026 for Foreign Workers: Apply for Newfoundland and Labrador Virtual Immigration & Job Fair
The government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, has announced a virtual immigration and recruitment session for skilled foreign workers seeking job and migration opportunities in Canada.
The online recruitment event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, February 11, and is open to interested participants from all countries.
According to details published on the province’s official website, the virtual session will run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. GMT and is part of an ongoing effort to connect international talent with employers across Newfoundland and Labrador.
About the Virtual Recruitment Event
The event will bring together approved employers from across the province who are actively seeking skilled workers. Participants will receive information about available job opportunities, employer expectations, and settlement support for those planning to live and work in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Foreign workers will also have access to information sessions and live question-and-answer segments with experts on Canadian immigration pathways and life in the province.
As part of the registration process, participants are required to upload their current résumé, which will be shared with participating employers for consideration.
Who Can Apply
The virtual recruitment session is open to foreign skilled workers across all occupations. However, the province has identified priority labour needs in the following areas:
-
Social work
-
Kindergarten to Grade 12 teaching (English and/or French)
-
Aviation
-
Health care
-
Early childhood education
-
Construction
-
Hospitality, retail, and food services
This list is not exhaustive, as employers are also recruiting skilled professionals in several other sectors.
Important Note on Visa and Work Permit
Participation in the virtual job fair does not automatically guarantee a Canadian visa or work permit. The event is designed to connect candidates with employers, after which successful applicants may proceed through the appropriate immigration and work permit processes.
What If You Don’t Find a Matching Job?
Foreign workers who do not immediately find a suitable job during the event may still be contacted later. Employers will have continued access to uploaded résumés throughout the year and may reach out to candidates when relevant opportunities arise.
